Spruce Kings claw out first win of the season against Grizzlies
The third time was the charm for the Prince George Spruce Kings Friday night as they picked up their first win of the season with a 6-1 win over the Victoria Grizzlies.
A four-goal first period got the Spruce Kings off to a great start in the opening frame as the home team received goals from newcomer Evan Orr, Andrew Seaman, Corey Cunningham, and Ryan McAllister.
Chong Min Lee would find the back of the net in the middle stanza, and Corey Cunningham would net his 2nd of the contest in the third to cap of the Spruce Kings scoring in Friday night’s contest.
Goaltender Jett Alexander earned his first BCHL win making 27 stops Friday night.
