Conservatives open their campaign office

PRINCE GEORGE – Another campaign office in the city has opened its doors.

It was a party atmosphere at 1905 Victoria Street. That’s where Conservative candidates Todd Doherty for Cariboo-Prince George and Bob Zimmer with Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies have set up shop. And it plays a big role in the campaign.

“This is where local residents can come, pick up signs for either myself or my colleague Bob Zimmer,” explains Todd Doherty, Conservative Candidate for Cariboo-Prince George. “This is where our volunteers are going to coordinate. There’s phone-calling in the back.”

But don’t expect to regularly find the candidates at this location.

“We’re mainly on the trail. If we’re in Prince George, we’re probably door-knocking or putting up signs somewhere. So if somebody wanted to meet with me here. ‘Jane wants to meet you, Bob.’ And so we’ll meet down on the office on a certain day.”
