Controlled chaos at Two Rivers

Sep 17, 2019 | 3:39 PM

PRINCE GEORGE – Two Rivers Gallery was up to its usual shenanigans again. Eighty-one students from Buckhorn, Blackburn, Hixon and Giscome were doing everything from soldering to coding, working with a 3D printer and laser cutting.

“So this is our maker experience. It’s our second year doing Maker Experience and we really wanted to start because we believe science, technology, engineering, arts and math, or STEAM, is very important as kids grow and develop,” says Briana Sadler, the Maker Lab Coordinator at the Two Rivers Gallery.

She says STEAM has exploded onto the educational scene lately and today’s event took a lot to make it happen, such as School District 57, Science World, Exploration Place, the Emily Carr Institute and CNC.
