It’s just about go time for two more hockey teams in the city. The WHL Cougars get their season underway tomorrow, as do their major midget partners, in the Cariboo Cougars. The reigning BC Major Midget League champions will lean on their returning core this year, many who attended the WHL Cougars development camp. It’s the first year the team gets to welcome in players from their recently established minor midget development team. Recent PG Cougar signees Fischer O’Brien and Aiden Reeves will contribute to the leadership this season as the squad seeks to repeat as league champions. They finished second in the regular season last year, but first defensively.
