Two dead in hit and run: Fort St.John

FORT ST.JOHN–UPDATE: A man has turned himself into police in relation to the accident.

RCMP say a vehicle hit two pedestrians around seven o’clock Wednesday (Sep.18) night. A 31-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man were pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the driver turned himself in three hours after the accident.

The suspects car was seized. Anyone with information is asked to contact Fort St. John RCMP.

EARLIER:Two people are dead after what police believe was a hit and run accident.

Police officers were called to a report of a “pedestrian motor-vehicle incident” at the 10100 block of 98th Ave– a busy area of the city. When police arrived, the suspects had already left the scene.
