Big plans for Cedars

PRINCE GEORGE – There have been several expansions to the campus at Cedars Christian School over the years and now there are some grander aspirations.

“The vision has always been to have a high school-sized gymnasium and classrooms and a kind of high school campus as our overall master campus plan,” says Shane Nelson, Principal at Cedars Christian.

He says the facility could be used by the whole community and the need for additional facilities was highlighted this past February when a flood ruined the floor in the gymnasium, throwing the sporting community into a scramble.

He says many of the i’s have been dotted and the t’s have been crossed already in terms of permitting and land clearing.

While Nelson is reluctant to nail down a schedule for the project he says, ideally, he would like to see shovels in the ground in the Spring.
