Cariboo Cougars extinguish Blazers for first win of the season

The Cariboo Cougars bounced back in a big way Sunday at Kin 1 as they hosted the Thompson Blazers in a re-match of Saturday night’s affair.

The Cougars were looking to get a little bit of revenge on the Blazers after the visitors clawed their way back to steal a 4-3 overtime win on Saturday to spoil the Cougars banner-raising evening.

However, Sunday would be a different story.

The Cougars would score early and often and they wouldn’t look back as they earned a massive 6-1 win over the Blazers.

The Cougars will have next weekend off and won’t be back on the ice until October 5 when they hit the road to face the Kootenay Ice.
