Cops for Cancer Tour de North rolls through Prince George

Sep 22, 2019 | 1:49 PM

It all began on Tuesday, and for riders of the Cops for Cancer Tour de North the finish line is in sight.

The team of 12 riders from Northern B.C is riding on a one week, 800 km bike ride which ends in Williams Lake on Monday.

Riders arrived in Prince George Saturday evening and hit the road Sunday morning in cool, wet conditions as they embarked to their next stop of Quesnel.

80% of the money raised from the Tour de North funds lifesaving research which has led to earlier detection in things like childhood cancers, better treatments, and more children surviving and thriving.
