Local firefighters raised thousands for MS

PRINCE GEORGE – If you saw some fire trucks at Rona this afternoon, don’t panic.

Members of the International Association of Fire Fighters, Local 1372 were on hand for a formal cheque presentation following its Fill the Boot campaign two weeks ago. The campaign raises money for muscular dystrophy awareness. This year, the local campaign raised $23,000.

“Which always just blows us away,” says Ian Provan with Local 1372. “We’re always so excited that we’ve got a community that just gives.”

At Rona, a thousand dollars was raised in a single day at that location and Rona committed to matching those dollars.
