Spruce Kings blanked at home by Smoke Eaters

The Prince George Spruce Kings wrapped up their brief two-game homestand Saturday night as they hosted the Trail Smoke Eaters.

Coming off an impressive 8-2 win Friday against Alberni Valley, the Spruce Kings had plenty of momentum going into the contest.

However, it would be the visitors who got the last laugh.

Trail would find the back of the net once in all three periods and shutout the Spruce Kings 3-0.

Prince George was outshot by the Smokies 26-14 in the contest.

The Spruce Kings will be back on the ice Friday at 10:00 a.m. when they meet the West Kelowna Warriors at the BCHL Showcase in Penticton.
