Arson suspected in five Vanderhoof fires

VANDERHOOF — Mounties in Vanderhoof are investigating five separate and suspicious structural fires.
“The first fire was reported on April 11 2019 with the most recent one reported on September 26 2019,” says North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson. “Police believe that all fires are related.”
She says the suspect remains in custody pending a court appearance.
“Evidence suggests that all fires were deliberately set. While property was all that was destroyed, things could have been much worse,” says Cpl. Wade Harvey of the Vanderhoof RCMP.
