PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George will place host to a group of Canadian Olympians in a week and a half. The Water Lilies Swim Club successfully bid to have 16 artistic swimmers train here as they prepare for the 2020 Tokyo Summer Games.
“They’re arriving on the 21st [of October] and then they start training for the Olympics from the 22nd to the 26th,” says Nicole Barager, Water Lilies Head Coach. “They’re going to be here [at the Aquatic Centre] from 9:30 to about 1 everyday training and then they do dry-land gym stuff. And the get to work with the local club.”
It’s a golden opportunity for those interested in artistic swimming to meet some of the best in the nation.
