Former Capitals reunite in recent Spruce Kings trade

The Spruce Kings have been pretty busy in the early parts of the BCHL season, making 4 trades and an additional pick-up since Opening Week. One of the moves reunited old friends. After a year of sharing the ice together with the Cowichan Valley Capitals, first-year Spruce King Preston Brodziak got to welcome hard-nosed forward Kolton Cousins to the roster. Cousins and Brodziak were both a part of the 16th-place Capitals team that stunned the BCHL last year with a first-round upset over the Penticton Vees in the playoffs, before also pushing the Wenatchee Wild to six games. While Brodziak has already collected 9 points in 11 games, Cousins brings added energy and fight to his new team.
