MACKENZIE – The Little Mac Ski Hill and local cross country ski trails will look a little different this winter. Thanks to the latest arrival of a snow groomer.
According to Mackenzie Mayor Joan Atkinson, the Pisten Bully PB100 was purchased with the help of local forest companies and other partners. The District of Mackenzie plans to use the groomer on 35 kilometres of cross country ski trails that are located close to the community.
Last winter season the District of Mackenzie did not operate the Little Mac Ski Hill. Some of the reasons include lack of snow and out of date snow grooming equipment. The snow groomer is expected to go to work after the first heavy snowfall.
