Jing Lan Yang is running as the candidate for the People’s Party of Canada the Cariboo-Prince George riding. Here’s what you need to know about the candidate:

Jing Lan Yang

Q: Why are you running for office?

A: In recent years, I’ve witnessed fundamental changes transpiring in our country. Canada has been systematically diversified into a divided and chaotic state.New taxes, higher taxes, de-growth policies and regulations, billions of tax dollars sent to foreign countries, unsustainable deficits and debts of $1.2T, illegal crossing, mass refugee influx, bad bills that chipped away our freedom and rights, political correctness and censorship, SOGI madness, … We’ve come to a breaking point!

Q: How does your party plan to address the issue of climate change?

A: Climate changes. Until twelve thousand years ago, much of Canada was under ice, and it is thanks to natural climate change that we can live here today. But we reject alarmism. From climate change to climate crisis to climate emergency to climate catastrophe, the alarmists want us to panic and have divided Canadians to an extreme degree.Climate science should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific. We should focus on real scientific solutions and concrete improvements.

Q: How would you address housing challenges facing some Aboriginal communities across our region?

A: Our party has a great platform on aboriginal issues that I can follow as a MP. 17.5% of the population in our riding are indigenous people. I will further promote a new relationship based on mutual respect, so we can continue to live together harmoniously. We will explore options to replace the Indian Act with a new legal framework to guarantee equal rights and responsibilities to indigenous people as Canadians. We will respect Constitution and treaties.

Q: What’s your stance on the development of pipelines?

A: We support the pipelines. We support oil and gas industry and resource and energy industries, which could all be the pillar industries in our riding, which will provide better-paying jobs, government revenues and well-being of our residents. Pipelines will boost the economic growth in our riding.

Q: Should the federal government help those affected by the downturn in the forestry sector? If yes, how?

We will work with the provincial government for immediate and adequate relief for the workers in the sawmills, trucking industry and service industry. As a MP, I will explore if there are any federal funding programs designed to assist Canadians in a real emergency/crisis that is totally out of their control. I believe they should be helped. Our government gave away $6.1 billion to foreign countries last year. This is the time we take care of our own people in desperate need.

Q: Do you think there should be term limits for MPs?

A: Yes. I personally believe we should also have a debate on the terms of the Senators as well. Many constituents addressed concerns on this issue. They want to make sure that we Canadians are better represented.. What would you do to help struggling seniors in the region?

Why you should vote for me:

Q: What is something interesting about you that voters don’t know?

A: I am a great cook, authentic Chinese food. I can also live on Costco croissant for days. I love Costco Croissant! 😊

Q: Where in the riding do you live? Why? What are your favourite places to spend time in?

A: I live in Prince George. I love to get into nature, trails and parks. Walking along Foothill Boulevard is enjoyable!

Q: Name the last Netflix program you binge-watched.

A: I BINGE-WATCHED DareDevil, maybe not the last, but a good one.
