The Prince George Cougars picked up their second win of the season Friday night and their first on the road thanks to a 3-1 win over the Spokane Chiefs.

Taylor Gauthier was a big reason why the Cougars picked up the two points on the road.

The 19-year-old netminder made 44 saves to help improve the Cougars record to 2-4-0-1 on the year.

Josh Maser, Connor Bowie, and Mitchell Kohner found the back of the net for the Cougars in the win.

The Cats will look to make it three straight when they head to Kent, Washington for a Saturday night tilt with the Tri-City Americans.

Tri-City is coming off a 4-3 overtime win over the Victoria Royals Friday night.

The Americans currently sit 4-3-0-0 on the year and are in second in the U.S division.

Face-off is at 7:00 p.m.

Following Saturday night’s game, the Cougars will return home to begin a four-game homestand next Friday against Spokane.
