The Prince George Spruce Kings returned to the friendly confines of the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena Friday night to kick off a four-game homestand.

Unfortunately for the squad, it wasn’t the result they would have liked as they fell 5-4 in a shootout to the Nanaimo Clippers.

Corey Cunningham netted a pair including the tying goal with under two minutes to play in regulation for the Kings in the loss.

Preston Brodziak and Finlay Williams also found the back of the net for the Kings who are now 4-5-2-1 on the season and sit fourth in the Mainland division.
