Americans double up Cougars

Oct 13, 2019 | 8:02 AM

The Prince George Cougars were unable to complete the weekend sweep Saturday night as they dropped a 4-2 decision to the Tri-City Americans.

Despite outshooting the Americans in the contest, two quick goals by Tri-City last in the middle frame would prove to be the difference.

Fillip Kofer netted his second of the campaign on the power play to even the game at one late in the 2nd period.

However, just 1:15 later the Americans would regain their lead thanks to Jayden Platz. Tri-City then doubled their lead just 41 seconds after Platz’s tally to make it 3-1.
