Punjabi Canadian Senior Society gives big

PRINCE GEORGE – Members of the Punjabi Canadian Senior Society presented the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation with a cheque today for more than $20,000 today.

It’s the proceeds from the annual Bike-A-Thon members of the Society does each year,. They ride to Purden Lake where they all enjoy a picnic lunch provided by the Punjabi Canadian Senior Society.

Since 2010, the group has raised roughly $150,000 for the Healthcare Foundation.

This year, the money will go to the Spirit of Healthy Kids program, which teaches youngsters the importance of living healthy lifestyles.
