Cougars acquire forward, defenceman, and picks from Winnipeg
Ahead of Saturday night’s contest with the Spokane Chiefs, the Prince George Cougars announced a major trade that should help bolster their line-up for both the present and the future.
The Cougars dealt forward Jackson Leppard (’00) to the Winnipeg Ice in exchange for defenceman Marco Creta (’00), forward Holden Kodak (’01), two third-round WHL Bantam Draft picks, and a conditional fifth-round selection.
In a press release sent out by the Cougars, Head Coach, and General Manager Mark Lamb stated, “It’s a good move for our organization right now and moving forward. We’re getting two players that will step into our lineup and make an impact,”
Creta has two assists so far this season, while Kodak was pointless in six games with the Ice so far in the 19/20 campaign.
