BRITISH COLUMBIA– Rain jacket, helmet, reflectors and some Gortex shoes? That might be what you need in order to go by bike this fall.

Go by bike week takes place from Oct.21st until November 3rd across BC.

“Cycling is a great year-round activity that allows you to fit more activity into your life. My bike has been a reliable source of transportation, connecting me to the community and the places I need to go,” said Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Claire Trevena. “Our government wants people of all ages and abilities to have more healthy, affordable and environmentally friendly ways to travel. That’s why, as part of CleanBC, we introduced Move.Commute.Connect., B.C.’s first active transportation strategy. Our strategy will help communities build more bike lanes and trails, giving more people the opportunity to choose an active mode of travel.”
