Rockets soar to big win over Cougars

It was a tough start to the weekend for the Prince George Cougars as they dropped a 6-2 decision to the Kelowna Rockets Friday night at Prospera Place.

Rockets forward Pavel Novak would score the first three goals of the contest to give Kelowna a 3-0 lead and help pace them to their 9th win of the season and 3rd over the Cougars.

Matej Toman and Reid Perepeluk would find the back of the net for the Cats in the loss.

The loss drops Prince George’s record to 4-10-0-1 on the year.

The Cats will look to try and get back in the win column Saturday night when they visit the Spokane Chiefs.
