UNBC Faculty Association give strike notice

PRINCE GEORGE–The UNBC Faculty Association, representing teaching staff at the university, has given their 72 hours’ strike notice.
According to a press release both sides had been bargaining since March 5th in what was expected to be a quick round of negotiations since the parties are in agreement about the key issue, salary.
The Faculty Association says they are committed to reaching a fair negotiated agreement at the bargaining table, urging UNBC administration to bargain intensively to avert a strike. UNBC has not yet commented on the subject.
