UNBC Faculty Association to hold noon-hour rally

PRINCE GEORGE — Strike action looms at UNBC as faculty continue to lobby for respect, both financially and with their research opportunities.

A rally was held Wednesday with frustrated faculty members ready to draw picket lines Thursday morning. Wages are a key issue in the dispute, which could escalate to legal job action as early as tomorrow morning.

Any job action would involve about 180 faculty and affect as many as 3500 students. Strike action will be seen at the Prince George and Terrace campuses, as well as the Wood Innovation and Design Centre.
