Winter storm watch for Pine Pass this weekend

PEACE RIVER–Environment Canada has issued a winter storm watch for the Pine Pass, with the possibility of 30-40 cm of snow over the weekend.

A Pacific frontal system is expected to move into northern BC interior Friday morning, snow is expected to fall over the Pine Pass today (Thursday) and will continue into tonight, 5-10cm of snow are expected overnight Thursday. However, the most significant snowfall is expected on Friday night and Saturday, tapering off into flurries on Saturday evening.

Visibility may be reduced at times, drivers are urged to exercise caution driving in the snowy conditions.
