VANCOUVER–BCLC has completed their GameSense Advisor (GSA) expansion to casino’s and community centres across BC.

According to a release from BCLC GSA’s made more than 67,000 interactions with players. GSA’s support casino players in making informed decisions when gambling and help connect them to support resources if players feel they might need help.

“Our government has made significant investments to assist those at risk of gambling addiction,” said Attorney General David Eby. “This expansion means people throughout B.C. can now seek support and share their questions and concerns about gambling with GameSense Advisors in their local gaming facilities. These conversations can be life-changing and I hope British Columbians will take advantage of this important service available to them.”

BCLC says that research suggests that 80 percent of casino-goers who interacted with GSA’s reported feeling more informed about player health information.
