Timberwolves open weekend on high note

LANGLEY — The first road game of the season for both the men’s and women’s UNBC Timberwolves basketball teams was a success with each team earning a win.
The women opened things with their first win of the young season, a 70-62 victory over Trinity Western. The Spartans women’s team still looking for their first win of the year.
As for the men, a 100-87 winning effort propels them to 2-1 on the season.
The Timberwolves and Spartans will meet each other again Saturday. The women play first at 5pm with the men following at 7pm.
