Cougars fall short against Victoria

Nov 10, 2019 | 8:05 AM

It was a great start for the Prince George Cougars Saturday night, but not a great finish as they dropped a 2-1 decision to the Victoria Royals at the CN Centre.

Just 2:58 into the opening frame the Cougars would open the scoring on a great passing play, which was finished off by Josh Maser to make it 1-0 Prince George.

Victoria would even the contest midway through the 2nd period on the man advantage as Kaid Oliver would bang home his 3rd of the campaign to even the game at one.

The Royals would hop out in front early in the 3rd period as Sean Gulka stole the puck over the blue line and wired one top corner past Taylor Gauthier to make it 2-1 Victoria.
