Service is fully restored to Shaw customers in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE —Update: (6:45 pm): This issue is now resolved and services should be online!

Update (4:46): Shaw says not everyone has come back online, they are currently investigating.

Update (4:15 pm): Shaw says the service disruption has been resolved.

Update (3 p.m.): Emergency services have cleared Shaw to begin work. They say that we will start seeing customers getting services back shortly.

Earlier: Shaw is attributing the service outage to a transport truck catching fire near Hixon this morning that has damaged its fibre network.

Shaw says its technical teams are heading out to the scene and will work as quickly as possible to repair the damaged infrastructure as soon as it is safe to do so.

Earlier: A Shaw outage is affecting customers in Prince George this morning.

According to Shaw, Internet, business Internet, phone, business phone, digital TV, VOD, Gateway, BlueSky TV, WiFi Access Points are all affected.

“We are working to restore service as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” said Shaw on their website.
