Traffic fatality in Fraser Lake

FRASER LAKE — An adult male is dead after he was struck by a vehicle in Fraser Lake.

RCMP Traffic Services confirm it happened yesterday morning (Nov.12) behind the mall on Endako Avenue at 8 a.m.

“The adult man, a 66-year-old Fraser Lake resident, was deceased and evidence suggested that he was struck by a commercial vehicle,” says North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson. “Investigation led police to identify the vehicle involved and that vehicle has been seized by police for forensic examination. The driver, owner/operator is cooperating with police.”

The cause has not been determined though police can confirm that alcohol was not involved.

The RCMP would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area of the shopping mall and along Endako Avenue between 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. and may have dashcam footage.
