International Education Week wraps up
PRINCE GEORGE – It is the fifth and final day of International Education Week. And this day was set aside to celebrate India. There was turban wrapping, music and dancing, as well as delicious Indian fare.
The week’s worth of events which included things like teas from around the world and multicultural day on Wednesday. Indian Cultural Day is the largest of the events and the organizers work hard to promote a culture they are very proud of.
“I am really proud of my culture because the people who are in my culture are more welcoming to people and are very honest,” says Jurwinder Kaur, who helped out with applying henna to the long line up of women wanting to have some of the traditional artwork applied.
Organizers also had a big thanks to the cafeteria staff, who had to learn several new recipes for today’s event.
