PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George RCMP have launched a stolen property investigation.

It began last Thursday (Nov.14) at a residence on the 1300 block of Carney Street.

“Through investigation, officers were able to seize many items believed to be stolen or confirmed to have been stolen,” says Cpl. Craig Douglass.

“Items include bicycles, power tools, hand tools, chain saws and a dirt bike style motorbike.”

He says several items have been confirmed stolen adding officers are working to identify the owners of the remaining items. Douglass says once owners of the items are identified, they will be contacted by police.

Of the 17 bicycles recovered, he says none had serial numbers registered on the crime bike registry, 529 Garage.

The investigation continues.

In light of this situation, police would like to remind people to record all their serial numbers of valuables and store the list in a secure place, not inside your computer.
