First Wexit BC rally held in Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE — The Wexit movement has made its way through Prince George. A rally at Mr. PG is the first of what organizers say will be many across the province.
The message is clear. Supporters want the provinces from BC to Manitoba to leave the Canadian Consitution and become a four-province country.
More than 100 supporters were listed as interested in the event, as per the Wexit British Columbia Facebook page. But those who came out say the turnout was likely dampened by wet and chilly weather. They stay firm there is sufficient support for the cause.
BC-wide, around 15,000 people have made their support known via various Facebook groups. Organizers say Wexit BC is about halfway through the process of becoming a legitimate provincial political party.
