U.S. citizen facing multiple charges in connection with thefts at Vanderhoof Airport

.V.ANDERHOOF — A 27-year-old American is facing multiple charges in connection with some thefts at the Vanderhoof Airport.
Vanderhoof RCMP Sgt. Rodney Guthrie says this morning (Nov.23), a local airplane owner identified a suspect to police and provided additional information about the thefts.
“Police located and arrested the suspect and found him to be in possession of stolen property and several firearms. Further information found the male was a US citizen and had possibly entered the country illegally.”
He says the suspect remains in custody and faces charges of break and enter, possession of stolen property and unauthorized possession of a firearm, as well as charges under the Customs Act.
