Powell River would open the scoring in the first period on a nice passing play, which was finished off in the slot by Brett Roloson to make it 1-0 for the visitors.

They would double their lead early on in the middle stanza on their 3rd man advantage of the afternoon.

Roloson would receive the pass on the right-wing, streak in and rifle it past Jett Alexander for his 2nd of the night to make it 2-0.

In the dying moments of the man advantage, Nick Bochen would rip a wrister from the point which would get through everyone and make it 2-1 on Bochen’s 2nd of the season.

The Spruce Kings would press in the 3rd as they looked for the equalizer, but the Kings would keep Prince George off the scoreboard in the final minutes and hang on for the 2-1 win.

Prince George was without both Nick Poisson and Finlay Williams Sunday afternoon as both players are away in Calgary as they tryout for Team Canada West for the World Junior A Challenge.

Prior to Sunday’s game, the Kings did make a pair of trades as well.
