Snowfall warning in effect for Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE–Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Prince George with total amounts of 15 to 25 centimetres expected .

A frontal system crossing the BC Interior is responsible. The snowfall will increase this afternoon with heavy snow expected through the night.

Ten to 15 centimetres of snow is forecast for many locations south of Prince George.

For the area near Quesnel, communities closer to the Cariboo Mountains and along parts of the Yellowhead Highway, 15 to 25 centimetres of snow is possible by Saturday morning.
