Government urges safe travelling this holiday season
VICTORIA– The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is reminding travellers to exercise caution when travelling this Holiday season.
As we get closer to the Holidays, British Columbians may be hopping on Highways across the province to visit family, resulting in an increase in traffic. In a press release by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, they stress the importance of planning ahead and drive to the weather and road conditions.
Before heading on the Highway make sure you have winter tires as winter tire regulations are in effect. The Ministry also suggests you check the weather forecast before travelling, have an emergency plan and kit (high visibility vest, winter boots, gloves, hat,) and check DriveBC before heading out.
