Literally ring in the New Year at the Annual Ness Lake Polar Bear Dip
PRINCE GEORGE–Ringing in the New Year has a whole new meaning at the 19th Annual Ness Lake Bible Camp Polar Bear Dip.
With the addition of bells to this year’s swim, “We’ve made these big giant bells and if you can make it to the end you can ring the bell…and ring in the New Year,” said Dave Horton, Operations Director for Ness Lake Bible Camp
The cost to jump into the ice-cold water is $25 a person, however, pledges are encouraged in order to help raise money to help make camp available for children who may not normally have the opportunity to visit a camp. This year’s proceeds will go towards sending children from the Ron Brent Community to Ness Lake’s Camp.
Jumpers can register on the day of, January 1. Hot chocolate and cinnamon buns will be available by donation. Horton says the ideal amount of money to raise this year would be $10,000.
