PRINCE GEORGE — $22,000.

That’s how much money was raised at yesterday’s (Jan.1) Polar Bear Dip at Ness Lake.

One hundred and fifteen people braved the icy waters to double last year’s take of around $11,000.

Proceeds will go towards the Camper Sponsorship fund – which sends kids from disadvantaged families to summer camp.

Organizers say warmer than normal temperatures and stellar fundraising efforts increased the turnout substantially.
