Semi and trailers stolen in Lac La Hache

LAC LA HACHE — Mounties in 100 Mile House are seeking the public’s assistance following the theft of a semi and two trailers in Lac La Hache.

Police say on Boxing Day (Dec.26), between 10:38 and 10:50 p.m., a white 2016 Freightliner Cascadia Tractor connected to two 2014 Doepker flat-deck trailers was stolen from Hamilton Road adjacent to Highway 97 in Lac La Hache.

Surveillance video obtained from a local business shows a white, late-model pickup truck with a snowmobile deck and light-bar on the cab pull up alongside the truck shortly before the truck was stolen.

Police say several vehicles can be seen driving past as the theft is occurring.

Witnesses who can help identify the truck or people involved are asked to call Cst.Odgaard with the 100 Mile House RCMP at (250)395-2456.
