Jan 4, 2020 | 10:56 AM

LANGLEY — It was just the start the Prince George Spruce Kings wanted for 2020, a 4-3 win over the Langley Rivermen.

First period goals by Corey Cunningham, Evan Orr, and Nick Bochen catapulted the Kings to a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes. That lead was extended to 4-0 early in the third period when Preston Brodziak put home his 15th of the season on the powerplay, which PG went 2/8 with.

Carter Woodside weathered a late surge by the Rivermen and made 29 saves in the winning effort.

PG moves up to 33 points with a record of 14-21-2-3.
