PRINCE GEORGE — Six trials are held each year by Top Dog Agility. This weekend was the first to help get handlers back into the swing of things after the holidays as preparations are made for regional, national, and world events later in the year.

Kim Collins is one of the local handlers and has been doing it for nearly 25 years. She has been on the national and international stages plenty of times but still recognizes the importance of these smaller trials. She says the sport’s popularity goes through its highs and lows but it is trending back up.

Saturday’s trial also saw donations made to LUV 4 PAWS, a local animal rescue dedicated to helping improve the lives of animals in need.
