UNBC Timberwolves basketball teams struggle in first games back

CALGARY — The UNBC Timberwolves basketball season tipped off is a losing fashion for both the men and women teams. Both University of Calgary Dinos teams remain undefeated on the season after Friday’s contests.

The men fell 94-70 despite leading after the first quarter. Tyrell Laing had 28 points and picked up four assists. Meanwhile, the women were heavily outclassed losing 71-46. Maria Mongomo earned a double-double dropping 15 points and snagging eleven rebounds.

The Timberwolves meet the Dinos again Saturday evening looking to rebound from their losses. The women tip-off at 5pm local time, while the men follow at 7pm.
