Tree recycling benefits local young women’s group
PRINCE GEORGE – For the second year, the Job’s Daughters of Prince George have been collecting Christmas trees for the purpose of having them chipped down by the City.
Job’s Daughters is an international organization, assisting young women 10 to 20 years of age.
Last year, they collected a large quantity of trees, however, the actual number of trees wasn’t counted. This year, they collected over 100 trees alone on the first day of the event. The event ran from Jan. 4-5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot of the CN Centre.
Along with the collecting, they also accept donations as it has become a large contributing event for their operating fees and charitable events that the girls put on.
