YMCA launches 5th annual Megathon

PRINCE GEORGE — The YMCA of Northern BC’s fifth annual MEGATHON received a kick-start from the Brink Group of Companies today (Jan.9).

President and CEO John Brink presented a cheque worth $2000 to begin work towards the YMCA’s goal of raising $15000 for its Strong Kids Campaign, with an annual fundraising goal of $60000 by August 31.

“It is a privilege for The Brink Group to once again be title sponsor of the annual YMCA MEGATHON. This is our third year in a row supporting this outstanding annual fundraiser,” he said.

“I’ve always been impressed with the hard-working YMCA team and the various fundraising they do; our goal is to work with the team at the YMCA of Northern BC to continue setting records with MEGATHON– in both money fundraised and participation. I’d like to encourage the entire community to come out and support this special event.”
