Another slight increase In PG’s jobless numbers

PRINCE GEORGE–No significant statistical changes for Prince George in the December jobs report from Stats Canada.

We saw a gradual increase in the unemployment rate once again, to 6.4 per cent last month, from 5.8 per cent in December of 2018.

The increase had more to do with more people looking for work than job losses.

BC’s jobless rate climbed to 4.8 per cent in December, from 4.4 per cent the previous year.
