PRINCE GEORGE — Ken Ferris is joining some of Canada’s most prestigious artists as his piece Morning Solitude (pictured) is one of just four selected to be featured in Ducks Unlimited Canada’s 2020 National Art Portfolio. With it comes national recognition, as the portfolio is at all of the over 300 DUC events each year.

The nod also gives Ferris the title of DUC’s 2020 Waterfowl Stamp and Print Artist. But the art is only part of the story. It actually goes a long way toward wetland conservation. Artwork done by Ferris and other top Canadian nature artists is being sold at DUC community fundraising events and on art auction easels in businesses across the country.

Ferris left his full-time job in 1978 to become a full-time wildlife artist. Now he manages fundraising efforts across Northern BC for Ducks Unlimited bringing him full-circle from where this journey began.
