Chetwynd drug bust leads to arrest

CHETWYND — A 29-year-old woman was arrested following a drug bust in Chetwynd over the weekend.
North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says it follows the execution of a search warrant Sunday in the Legion subdivision.
She says the suspect, who is known to police, was arrested after police found “a large quantity of Canadian currency and approximately 200 grams of suspected cocaine, fentanyl and other forms of drugs and paraphernalia.”
Saunderson says the woman is now facing charges of trafficking in a controlled substance.
