A Canadian feature film is hitting Cineplex for one night
PRINCE GEORGE–It’s a love story set back in 1919 and it’s coming to Prince George in February.
Stand! takes place in Winnipeg during the time of the 1919 Winnipeg General Strike. The musical tells the story of discrimination towards immigrants, and Indigenous workers during one of Canada’s longest strikes in history.
The movie, produced, composed and co-written by Danny Schur, was released to audiences across Canada before Christmas and became the #1 Canadian film at the box office.
The movie will be featured at Cineplex on Feb.5th at 7 p.m. and happens to have a bit of a Prince George tie.
