Weeks facing a non-confidence motion

PRINCE GEORGE – A UNBC professor is expressing doubts about the leadership of UNBC President Dr. Daniel Weeks.

A notice of motion for a non-confidence vote was put forward by Senate member Dr. Peter Jackson at a Senate meeting yesterday.

Jackson is declining further comment until the Senate meets again on February 26th.

“That notice will now go to the Senate Steering Committee to consider for inclusion on the next formal Senate meeting, which is scheduled for Feb. 26,” said UNBC in a statement. “The agenda for the Feb. 26 Senate meeting is expected to be published the Friday before (Feb. 21).”

Weeks has been president of UNBC since the summer of 2014.
